Christmas Week Exotic Car Rental Miami: The 2026 Guide

October 17, 2026·6 min read

Christmas 2026 Falls on a Friday, and Miami Notices

Christmas 2026 lands on Friday, December 25. Christmas Eve is the Thursday before and the weekend follows, which hands Miami a four day holiday at the exact moment the city is at its best. While much of the country digs its cars out of the snow, Miami sits in the mid to upper 70s, dry, sunny, and deep into convertible season.

The real holiday corridor runs longer. From Saturday, December 19 through Sunday, January 3, the city fills with snowbirds opening their season, families flying in, and visitors stretching one long weekend into two full weeks. The roads stay busy, but the driving is glorious: the dry season means no afternoon storms, and the days are long enough for a causeway run after dinner.

Here is how to rent the right car for it, what it actually costs, and when to lock it in.

Book by Early December, Not the Week Of

The stretch between Art Basel and New Year's Eve is the busiest rental window of the Miami year. Our Art Basel guide covers the first week of December, and by the time Christmas week arrives, the fleet has been picked over for a month.

Practically, that means book by the end of November. The family SUVs, the Escalade and the Urus, go first, and the convertibles follow. The cancellation policy gives a full refund with 72 hours or more notice, so locking a car in early costs you nothing if plans change.

The Best Cars for a Miami Christmas

For the family: Cadillac Escalade, $499 per day

Seven seats, a $1,000 security deposit, and enough cargo space for luggage and everyone's gifts. Valet teams across the city park Escalades all day, which makes it the easiest luxury rental for a family landing at MIA. See it in the fleet.

For the family upgrade: Lamborghini Urus, $999 per day

Five seats, 641 horsepower, and the badge the kids will still be talking about in February. The Urus is the SUV that behaves like a supercar. The harder Urus Performante sits at $1,399 per day. The full write-up is in our Urus guide.

The sleeper: Bentley Bentayga, $699 per day

Handcrafted British luxury with 542 horsepower, a weekend rate of $599, and a weekly rate of $499. A Bentley for the price of a well optioned German SUV is one of the quietest bargains in the fleet, and nothing glides into a Christmas Eve dinner quite like one.

For the convertible Christmas

Late December is peak drop top season in Miami. The Mercedes-AMG C63 Cabriolet at $499 and the BMW M4 Competition convertible at $599 are the accessible picks. The Audi R8 Spyder at $899 per day, $799 on the weekly rate, is the value exotic. And the Lamborghini Huracan EVO Spyder at $1,399 is the ceiling, the most photographed silhouette on Ocean Drive. Compare them all in our convertible guide.

For the gliding arrival: Rolls-Royce Cullinan, from $1,345 per day

The Cullinan runs $1,495 per day, $1,645 on weekends, and $1,345 on the weekly rate. It floats over every imperfection on the MacArthur Causeway and turns the valet line at Christmas dinner into an event. The full write-up is in our Cullinan guide. At the very top, the Mercedes-Maybach S680 by Virgil Abloh at $2,499 per day is the car for the family that already has everything.

For the Christmas gift

Some people wrap a box with keys inside. A Huracan Tecnica at $1,499 per day or a Ferrari 458 Speciale at $1,599 per day, $1,299 on the weekly rate, is the version of that nobody forgets. We regularly arrange pickup on Christmas morning so the reveal happens in person, and the requirements are the same as any rental. See our Ferrari guide for how it works.

For Design District shopping: Mercedes-AMG G63, $995 per day

The G Wagon is the Design District's default vehicle, and the week after Christmas is its holiday season. Note the weekend rate is $1,095 per day, and the weekly rate drops to $895. Specs and booking tips are in our G63 guide.

What the Days Actually Look Like

Christmas Eve. Pick up in the morning, drive the Rickenbacker Causeway to Key Biscayne while the light is soft, then roll to a waterfront dinner in Coconut Grove or on Lincoln Road. Sunset lands around 5:30 PM in late December.

Christmas Day. The best driving day of the Miami year. The city goes quiet in the morning, the roads stay empty until noon, and the beach in the afternoon is the whole point of being here. A convertible with the top down on an empty Collins Avenue is a Christmas memory that lasts.

December 26. Post holiday sales, family brunch, and the Design District and Brickell City Centre at full energy. The G63 and the Cullinan were built for this.

The days between Christmas and New Year's Eve. Midweek, December 28 to 30, is the best availability and the quietest roads of the entire corridor. If your dates are flexible, this is the sweet spot. Then the city hands off to our New Year's Eve guide.

The Automatic Discounts Do Heavy Lifting Over the Holidays

Most Christmas visitors are not in Miami for a single day, and the calendar does the work. Two discounts apply to every car in the fleet with no promo code: 10% off rentals of 7 or more days, and 15% off rentals of 14 or more days. The terms are on the promo page.

The math:

  • Escalade, 7 days: $3,493 minus 10% is $3,143.70, or about $449 per day.
  • R8 Spyder, 7 days at the weekly rate: $5,593 minus 10% is $5,033.70, or about $719 per day.
  • Huracan EVO Spyder, 7 days: $9,793 minus 10% is $8,813.70, or about $1,259 per day.
  • Escalade, the full 16 day corridor: $7,984 minus 15% is $6,786.40, or about $424 per day.

A two week Christmas stay in an Escalade for about $424 per day, or the full corridor in a Cullinan at the weekly rate with the automatic 15%, about $1,143 per day, is the best value window of the Miami season. The full discount picture is in our weekly discount guide.

What You Need

  1. Valid driver's license
  2. Proof of insurance
  3. Major credit card in your name
  4. Age 25 or older, with select cars available from 21 with additional requirements

Verification typically takes under 30 minutes when your documents are ready. The document checklist, deposits, and fine print are in our requirements guide, and what your personal policy covers on a rental is in our insurance guide.

Pickup, Delivery, and Flying In

Pickup is at our Miami location, minutes from Brickell and about 15 minutes from South Beach, and your car is detailed, fueled, and inspected before you arrive. Hotel delivery across South Florida is available by special arrangement and should be booked well ahead for the holidays: the car is waiting at the valet stand when you check in, and you never see a rental counter. Flying into MIA? The airport pickup guide covers how arrival day works.

Same day rentals happen year round, but do not bet Christmas week on one. The realistic picture is in our same day guide.

How to Book Your Christmas Car

  2. Lock the car by the end of November. The SUVs and convertibles go first.
  3. Arrange pickup or delivery when you book, not after.
  4. Confirm the day before arrival. A quick text reconfirming the pickup time keeps the week clean.

By the end of November, and earlier for the convertibles and family SUVs. The stretch from Art Basel through New Year's Eve is the busiest rental window of the Miami year. The cancellation policy gives a full refund with 72 hours or more notice, so booking early carries no risk.

Is Christmas a good time to rent a convertible in Miami?

It is one of the best weeks of the year. Late December sits in the dry season, with highs in the mid to upper 70s, low humidity, and almost no afternoon storms. The Audi R8 Spyder at $899 per day and the Lamborghini Huracan EVO Spyder at $1,399 per day are the two most requested drop tops, and Christmas morning is the quietest driving window of the year.

Can I have the car delivered to my hotel for Christmas?

Yes, delivery to hotels, residences, and venues across South Florida is available by special arrangement and quoted on request. For the holiday corridor it must be arranged in advance, because delivery windows fill early. Most guests pick up at our Miami location, minutes from Brickell and about 15 minutes from South Beach.

Do the automatic discounts apply over Christmas and New Year's?

Yes, with no blackout dates. Rentals of 7 or more days get 10% off and rentals of 14 or more days get 15% off, automatically, with no promo code. A 7 day Escalade rental drops to about $449 per day, and the full 16 day corridor from December 19 to January 3 drops to about $424 per day.

The requirements are the same as any rental: the driver must be 25 or older with a valid license, proof of insurance, and a major credit card in their name. The Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica and the Ferrari 458 Speciale are the two most booked gift cars.
